Google Autor Profiles in Big Companies
-
I work for a big company and they want to use the google autor tag.
The goal is to get the rich snippets and better rankings in the future from having a trusworthy autor for each topic building up followers basically.
The problem is that the company does not want to pay employees to build up their own autor profiles/trust since an employee could leave the company any time and we would have to start from scratch building another autor profile.
Now I know that google only wants real people in google plus bla bla ... bla bla ...
How do you guys handle this problem? I thought of having our autors sharing one made up autor profile which is owned by the company.

Maybe I'am wrong, but I've never seen snippets with a company logo in each blog posting so far.

Isn't it possible to link your company's Google+ page through "rel=publisher" instead of linking personal Google+ profiles as authors. Or will this not give the same effect?
(Sorry, maybe I'm making this question more complex than it already was)

69 times read and no answer. I'm going to tell you my personal opinion.
Your company has two ways:
A) Create imaginary profiles: 1 per workstation, and your different staff build up the company profiles. (I don't recomend this option because is bread for today and hunger for tomorrow)
B) Value your professional team: When a big (or small) company forgets the main resource of their own (their staff), usually the staff resign and create their own company or go work for your oppositors.
I don't know if is what you were waiting for. It's only my personal opinion.
By the way, when an author write a post at the domain company, where rich snippets are good configurated (company name too), and that autor write in differents blogs with different owner, the relevancy for this author will charge in every post. It must be similar than PR or DA. It's a flow authority, and it will be different depends of the work you build up and the differents "relevant authors" (for your KW) than links to you. Search for co-citation post here at SEOmoz.
I hope anything of this can help you.

Important G+ News: Google to End Forced G+ Integration, Cut Resources. What Does Everyone Think?
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/04/report-google-to-end-forced-g-integration-drastically-cut-division-resources/ Assuming this article is accurate, I am glad this happened. I spent little time focusing on G+ because I truly felt there were better things to focus my time on. It was never well received by the public and SEO's (for the most part). I did not agree with its usability nor its philosophy. Its forced integration was annoying to say the least and I believe by forcing it down our throats, it turned many of us off. I hope that G+ will no longer have any impact on ranking in SERPs. I never dedicated much time to gaining more followers and I hope that was the right decision. What does everyone think about this?

Google+ Cover Photo Question
I am trying to set up a Google+ profile for a client with multiple locations. My design team came up with nice cover photos for each page, using the dimensions that Google recommends (a 16:9 ratio, max. 2120x1192), but parts of my cover photo keep getting cut off. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and do you know what size we should REALLY be using? Thanks!

G+ profile Authorship
We have list of many Authors with their G+ profiles contributing stories for the website. And marked as rel=author for stories generated by them. Though we have few stories where we take multiple author's inputs and mark it into Team profile as an Author. My basic concern over this is, if i mark my story with authorship as team profile i.e. my website's G+ profile as an Author, would that be considered similar to a person's profile author. Example : https://plus.google.com/+cardekho - Our G+ profile marked as Author "CarDekho Team" in our stories. Queries : Does this company page get considered as author? Would this company profile marked as rel=author help in any ranking benefit as an individual Author profile helps in search results?

Doctors in a Hospital - Setup Google Local or Google+ Profiles?
Hello - I've been running this over for awhile - so I'm curious to see what the community says about it. I'm working with a client who would like to brand the doctors in their hospitals. Many of them do have recognition already - and their associated locations have profiles. Google Local semi-recently said it's OK to brand Dr's names - even if they exist within a single location. So, my question is - is it better to go the Google Local route and create the Local/+ page for them, or to go through the Google+/Google Brand Pages route and create them that way? If each doctor were to decide, individually, to post on their page - would that be possible with the Places route (I don't think so, based on what I've seen)? Also, if a doctor already has a personal Google+ page - would it make sense to just create the additional brand page as well through this interface? Well either of these methods achieve optimal visibility as well as the option to post should they decide to go that route? What it boils down to - is this is a task we can perform from the outside, or is it best handled by giving the doctors best practice for setting up their personal Google+ pages and associated Brand Pages themselves? Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Do twitter profile links in bio pass juice?
Links that are added in the "Website" field in a twitter profile are nofollow. However, links added to the "Bio" section are dofollow. This has to mean these links are passing juice correct?

Twitter profile: Personal photo vs brand graphic image
We are promoting our company on twitter, and currently using a high quality brand graphic image. We see others who use the personal photo of "evangalist" who manages the twitter account. Any advice on what works best here to encourage user engagement? A more generic "brand" identity graphic versus a real person's photo? Of course this is in conjunction with doing all of the other good Twitter things, but curious what folks recommend on the profile image.
