Best Time for YouTube Upload?

Does anyone have any data that could help us to understand the best time to upload a video to YouTube?

It doesn't matter at all when you upload a video to YouTube.
Unlike social platforms such as reddit, hacker news etc - there isn't some sort of algorithmic drop off if a YouTube video doesn't get immediate traction. Videos can sit dormat for weeks before then going viral when an influencer picks them up.
The uploading time isn't important, but your wider promotional strategy will be and time may be a factor in that e.g. when do you send out a press release? When should you tweet about it?

Most data found online focus on the general public, rather than a specific group of people. While the general trend of posting on weekdays during lunch time applies, you might want to look into which times are your target audience most likely to be on Youtube.
One way to get started would be to look at what times are most of your followers are active on Facebook (through Facebook Page Insights) and Twitter (several analytics program available). From there, you would be able to gauge which time would be the best to upload your videos for maximum viewership.

It shouldn't matter. There is, of course, time involved in loading & processing the video, but that is not going to impact the performance of your video. You should obviously optimize your video for search to increase visibility and views, but the time of day you upload a video shouldn't mean anything. If there is some sort of time crunch to get the video up, you should do it at least 48 hours before the deadline just to be safe. Google/YouTube protects itself by giving itself an allowance for processing, but I've never seen anything take longer than 24 hours.

Steady increase in traffic to youtube from 8am until 1pm

Steady state of peak traffic between 2pm and 6pm

So: Best time to upload your video to Youtube is:
- During the week
- Wed or Thurs is best
- Submit your video between 12pm and 1pm as it can take up to an hour to upload and process your video. This way your video will be live during peak traffic at 2pm – that is the target.

YouTube Channels - Geotargeting - UK & US specific YT channels (but with identical videos)
Can you have one for each region such as Uk & US like you might with FaceBook etc: I know its a good idea for Geo-targeting reasons to have country specific social pages to promote country specific websites (i.e. UK FaceBook for .co.uk website and US Facebook for .com site etc), does the same apply to YouTube ? Does YouTube allow this (since videos will be effectively the same on both channels) ? I would hope so since say if you wanted to exploit annotated links to the main site from the videos then you would want the US viewer following a link to a US product page not a UK page and vice versa ? Trying to link a Legacy Youtube account to a Google+ Page, the option isn't available...

I am working on one of my clients projects and would love some advice before making some changes to their Google+ and Youtube account. We created the youtube account before Google+ and Youtube combined so we have a seperate name for the Youtube and Google+ Profile. They were created using separate emails, but both emails are managers of each others "account." We can't combine the two as it won't give me the option, only the option to create a new Youtube channel based on the Google+ Profile. But I already have videos loaded up on the Older Channel that I would like to keep and use for my current Google+ Profile. I have tried to disconnect the Youtube channel to hopefully get the option to link the two, but it just says it is a unavailable option. So my question is:
What advice do you guys have with any of this type of Youtube and Google+ mismatch profile/channels? I am not finding much online besides links to unattaching accounts but that is giving me a message saying that it isn't possible. Or would creating a new channel linked to the Google+ page and just reuploading the videos/transcripts be my best bet? GA Bounce Rate vs Time on Page
I have a niche site that attracts between 50 to 100 visitors a day. For the past several weeks we've been working on a new article and the with aid of social media have attracted 2,000 visitors in the first 24 hours of posting, a dramatic spike in daily visits. Visitors are spending about 10 to 12 minutes reading the article and then leave our site. So, the GA bounce rate is quite high at about 95%. Does Google know this is a compelling article for our niche based on the number of visits and time spent reading the page? Will the high bounce rate affect the article's PR, or do they also consider the time on the page? Best,

Best Way to Promote Self Hosted Videos?
We are soon to launch 25 short videos on one of our websites. They are a little bit different and I think they have a particularly good chance of going viral. The videos will be scattered over the website on our actual sales pages (not tucked away on our blog). We are hoping (expecting) that customers will click on them and subsequently share them mainly due to the surprise / fun factor. I've got a lot of experience promoting our (linkbait) blog posts which usually get between 10,000 and 100,000 hits via social media blogs, however, I have no experience promoting video. We will do the offsite social blog promotions as normal, however, my two main concerns are: 1. I'm unsure how best to use the social buttons (facebook like/share tweet and G+). As I understand it (I could very much be wrong), I can either embed the social buttons on the videos so that they are easily shared across facebook etc... or I can make the the social button make the user 'Like' / 'Share' the page that the video is on. I assume that the latter option is better for website promotion but maybe not good for people sharing the video on Facebook etc. some of the videos do not have pride of place on our pages. An explanation or examples on the best option would be appreciated. 2. Should we hold off from putting the videos on YouTube until the website has earned some of the juice first? Or are we missing out on and opportunity by not offering all avenues at once? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated too! Best place to have blog reside
So... I have a fairly new wordpress blog at myblog.com, but the ultimate goal is to drive traffic and increase rankings for mysite.com. With the rise of twitter/facebook influences do you think best to migrate the blog to a directory within www.mysite.com aka www.mysite.com/blog and then 301 direct all the existing pages to the new pages created or is it better to keep the 2 domains seperate and then just have links in the navigation of both sites to each other? My initial thoughts are to incorporate it within www.mysite.com/blog but not 100% sure? Quick follow up question.. Is there an easy code snipit to add to the .htaccss file to 301 direct myblog.com to mysite.com/blog? Thanks for any help and thought on this! John
