Should you publish Q&A on individual pages?
-
If you are answering common questions about your industry, should you create a separate page or place it on a existing page that is related.
On one hand it may be seen as thin content on those pages. On the other hand it may be a poor user experience if someone lands on your page and has to scroll down to find the answer.

I completely agree with Martijn and Takeshi in that whether or not you should make unique pages for each question depends on how in-depth the answers are.
I'd like to add that whether you create a single Q&A page or an overview page, you can easily mitigate the usability issue by using anchor tags. List all the questions at the top of the page and then break out the individual questions and answers(or questions and excerpts of answers) below the list. Link each question at the top of the page to the corresponding question and answer further down the page using same-page anchor tags. This will minimize the amount of scrolling required to navigate the page. You can also place same-page anchor tags periodically down the page that jump back to the top of the page.
This FAQ page about CrossFit is an example of using same-page anchor tags both ways: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/faq.html. Hope that helps, and best of luck!

The Q&A section you're posting in now uses separate pages
But it really depends on how much content you are putting in your Q&As. If it's just a sentence or two it's probably best to combine them all into one page. If you're writing 500 word articles with videos & graphics, it's better to have separate pages, and maybe include an overview page that includes all the questions as well as excerpts of all the answers, with links to view more.

I'd say this would really depend on how thin the pages are at the moment where you could add the questions and how long possible answers may be. If you answer the question if the sun is shining then yes I would probably add them to the existing pages. If you're really going to create a research on why the sun is not shining including quotes from Al Gore I would recommend creating new pages for this. It's a bit of a lame example but hopefully you see my point on this.

When To And When To Not Use AMP
Hi All, I hope someone might be able to help me with this. I am looking at implementing AMP on a website. I have been doing a stack of research into advantages of using AMP etc. However I am struggling to find an answer to when I should not / where not to be implementing AMP. More specifically I see large sites that are running AMP but it does not seem to be on all pages, how is the best way to determine when or when not I should be using AMP. Thanks In Advance, Mark

Why are some of page indexed and others not
I have created a site structure like this: domain/for-sale/brand domain/for-sale/brand-model domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg1 domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg2 domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg3 etc.... I cannot understand why the domain/for-sale/brand-model does not seem to be indexed, yet the domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg6 is? This is a new site, but I cannot understand why this URL would be indexed without the others... Any ideas? My home pages has links to the domain/for-sale/brand, this page has links to domain/for-sale/brand-model1, domain/for-sale/brand-model2 etc, each of these pages have links to domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg1, domain/for-sale/brand-model/pg2 etc...

Dealing with a category page that is optimised & ranks for same keyword as homepage
Hi, I'm working with a very niche website where only one product is sold. This means there is a small keyword set (just variations of same keyword) that we are optimising for. Currently the homepage www.example.com ranks in position 2 for target term - "sample". But there is also a required deeper page www.example.com/sample which has lots and lots of internal links targeted to "sample" pointing to it. This page ranks position 8. Effectively this is optimising the deeper page for the same keyword as for the home page through internal anchir text. This deeper page must exist as it has much more detailed information about the product. We want the homepage to rank highest and I'm trying to figure out if we are confusing Google and splitting authority between 2 pages. Best result for us would be to have homepage in position 1 and the deeper page can disappear (total visits would increase). So the question is, is there a solution to do this? My initial thought was use canonical tag on the www.example.com/sample page specifiying www.example.com. Can we do this? Its not duplicate content. Other option I considered is to nofollow links to the deeper page. Again not sure if this will have positive or negative impact. My fear is by removing 40 odd internal links with "sample" anchor text will reduce relevancy of the domain as a whole for the "sample" keyword. Any help much appreciated! Thanks

Should I convert PDFs to pages?
I have a client that has a lot of content in pdf files that are linked to from their website. The content on the site itself is quite thin. Should I recommend to them that they convert at least some of pdf files to actual pages on their website? That way there could be a title tag, meta-description, header tags, etc associated with the content. What role do pdf files play in SEO? Thanks!
