Put AdWords mobile ads in separate Campaign or AdGroup?
-
We want to ramp up traffic from the segment "Mobile with Full Browser" under enhanced campaigns in Google AdWords.
Our Google rep said that it would be best to do this from within the same campaign. We're contemplating pulling the mobile traffic conversion effort out into its own campaign in order to more easily track performance.
Background: We bid down traffic from "Mobile with Full Browser" to -100% because initially it performed poorly. We've improved our mobile experience and we want to try again. We're contemplating building mobile versions of our current ads using the AdWords functionality that does this, and watching how the mobile ads and the segment "Mobile with Full Browser" responds this time.
Separate campaign or from within the same campaign. What would you do?
Thanks,
-
Thank you for your input! Much appreciated.

I would run within the same campaign. If you create separate ads and site links for mobile devices it should make tracking performance fairly easy. The main difficulty in running separate campaigns would be having the same keywords appearing on desktop and potentially competing.
-
Sure thing! If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I think this is the right way to go... at least try this first and see how it goes before duplicating campaigns.

Thanks, John for taking the time to reply. I think we're going to leave it in the current campaign as you pointed out.

The whole idea behind Google adding bid adjustments, mobile targeted ads, and mobile only parameters on destination URLs is to allow you to consolidate your desktop and mobile campaigns. To view performance for a campaign by device, go to the "Segment" droplist in the web interface, and choose "Device". This will break down your statistics between Computers, Mobile Devices with full browsers, and Tablets with full browsers. If that's a pain for you (if you have lots of campaigns), then doing what you said and breaking them out into their own campaigns might be better for you.

Can Google Shopping Ads Lower Ranking due to Bounce?
I am noticing Google Shopping Ads are showing up for really irrelevant keywords on some of my products. This quite predictably causes a high bounce rate when a user comes from these ads. There is very little control over what Google Ads seems to decide are relevant keywords from what I can see. Only control is by viewing search terms and setting as negative keywords, but his doesn't help much. Negative keywords are often ignored or they come up with some other really irrelevant new keyword. Seems this high bounce rate could hurt ranking? Any experiences shared with Google Shopping ads appreciated!

Google Analytics showing my Adwords campaign bounce rate at 0%
I am relatively new to Adwords, and I can't figure out why the Adwords section of Analytics is showing all my site visitors at 0% bounce rate. Does that mean the account connection is not done right? Obviously Google ads are not a 0% bounce rate. If I can't get that to work, does anyone know how Google ads appear in Traffic? Is it Direct or Referral? I'm sure there's some simple answer I'm just not aware of, I would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks!

AdWords Different Budgets on Different Days
I have a single campaign and this is what I want. Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri to have a budget of $270 per day
Paid Search Marketing | | UnderRugSwept
Wed to have a budget of $324 per day
Sat, Sun to have a budget of $432 per day Currently, the only way I can see to do this is to have three separate campaigns, which is very disagreeable. Please tell me there's something I'm overlooking. Thanks0 -
OK to have a modal pop-up on an AdWords landing page?
We're about to launch an AdWords campaign targeting users who are searching for hand-crafted furniture. The website we're sending users to has a large inventory of furniture, and all if it is hand-crafted. But there currently is no page on the site specifically communicating that all the furniture on the site is hand-crafted. So, rather than dump the user right into browsing the inventory, we want to put an intermediate step in place to say, in essence, "Hey, welcome, yes, we have lots of handcrafted furniture. In fact, all of it is hand-crafted. Here, have a look around." The art director on the project is suggesting that a modal pop-up would be perfect for this scenario. It would greet the user, who could then dismiss the pop-up and move into the site. I have two concerns about using a modal, though: Does a modal violate Google's policy against pop-ups that open new windows? Assuming we trigger the modal using Javascript, will AdsBot have any trouble crawling the content of the modal, such that it could hurt the landing page component of our quality score?

AdWords Negative Keywords
Hello community! I got a bit stuck with negative keywords management today! I have updated the negative keyword list and as it can be shared among all my active campaign I put it into the shared library. But when I downloaded the recent changes on Editor I can't get to see the new negatives and I can't check their match types. Do I have to upload the list on Editor for each campaign? Thanks

What audience size do you need for a successful retargeting campaign?
I recently launched a trial of a retargeting campaign but after a month I have only 100 impressions and 0 clickthroughs. I am working in a competitive space but I placed a relatively low bid because I read that retargeting campaign banner ads should cost less. The number of people who have been added to the retargeting list by visiting the site is under 10,000. What do you think is most likely to be the problem causing a low number of impressions and clickthroughs? Can a retargeting campaign be successful with a small audience size?

What's a good CTR for text ads in GMail?
I'm running text ads in Google's Display/Content network, and these ads are targeted only to display in GMail. I'm getting a rather low CTR, but this is to be expected? Then again, how low is too low? What's a good CTR for GMail ads?

Google Ads not showing
Hello, I am having some trouble with my google adwords. I decided to split my existing campaign into two campaigns, one for customers in the UK and one for the rest of the world. The keywords are the same - only the message is different. i.e. Tractor Parts Free UK shipping on Tractor parts mysite.com/tractor-parts & Tractor Parts Fast shipping to Europe from the UK mysite.com/Tractor-Parts According to Google Adwords my UK campaign has had no impressions and no clicks. However if I search for one of the keywords it appears in the search results with the UK text. Anyone got any ideas?
